Other current reads (or attempted reads, at least):

Lords of the Left Hand Path for a book club thing.

Loki: Where Mischief Lies - I got it out of the library right before lockdown and I still haven't read a single page.

Loki: Journey Into Mystery - because every time I see the one above I remember I *still* haven't finished this one either somehow.

@zephasaurus_hex interesting choices. Il jot these down when i get to my PC. 2 questions. The first one is, did you receive my request to join this instance? The second one is, will you host a FeediReads instance when FeediReads is ready? FeediReads is a decentralized Goodreads

@weirdwriter @zephasaurus_hex I know you didn't direct this at me, but if it works for you I can try to generate an invite to the instance. I've never done it before, so it may be a learning experience!

@weirdwriter I'm not familiar with FediReads but have started looking into it now and I'll consider it! Thanks for letting me know.

@zephasaurus_hex Do you allow third party clients on your instance? I'm using an alternative interface and it won't let me sign in? It works fine if I use the normal desktop interface. Mobile apps don't work either, such as, Toot.

@weirdwriter I haven't done anything either way, and from a quick search it looks like I might need to actively set something up. I'm about to head to work now so can't figure it out right away, but I'll try when I get home tonight. Thanks for letting me know.

@zephasaurus_hex If it helps, this is the error I get when all other instances work just fine. :)

Error: Window.fetch: https://@weirdwriter@booktoot.club/api/v1/instance is an url with embedded credentials.. Is this a valid Mastodon instance? Is a browser extension blocking the request? Are you in private browsing mode?

@weirdwriter What client gives that error message? I just downloaded Tusky and Subway Tooter to try it myself and didn't have any problems.
