riverdale: the red dahlia, squeeful rambling
OH. MY. GOD.
This is so typical of Riverdale. All of this weird, brilliant, campy, dramatic stuff that shouldn't work at all and really has no right to be this good but somehow it fucking DOES and just wow.
Like, other shows might have a noir episode that takes place in a character's mind. Riverdale is just like "Nah. Everyone's gonna be in character and this is really happening but also it's a noir film in the middle of the season."
riverdale: the red dahlia, archie comics, jughead jones, ace rep & erasure
Also. Since Archie Comics have gone in so many different directions lately and in particular character-focused AU miniseries are doing really well, this has REALLY made me want a Jughead Noir series.
Please please please please please.
Also also. I like the distant but steady relationship he and Betty have in Riverdale. But I *really* wish he was cannon ace in this, it would be so good.
A place for sharing and discussing books. After suggesting a Mastodon-based book club and getting a lot more interest than I expected, I decided to make a place specifically for facilitating that. So this aims to be a home for creating and organizing book clubs and read-alongs.
Not just for clubs, though. Like books? Want to talk about books and read about what other people are reading? Congrats, you're welcome here.
Well, with some restrictions. No hate speech, threats, etc. See our rules/code of conduct for more of that and general posting guidelines.
Not looking to join a new instance but wanting to join in the discussion anyway? No problem, just look for and use the hashtags.
This instance also now has its own Patreon page to help with the basic costs and maybe even (if I'm being very optimistic) help it grow into more. Check it out if you're willing/able to consider helping me out that way.
Thanks for stopping by!
