For Spite-listening (1/2) there's The Worst Bestsellers, which I recently got into by a crossover they did. It's what's on the tin it seems. But they seem pretty fair in their judgments. I've only listened to a few episodes. They give recommendations of stuff to read instead. Like I said, I've only listened to a couple, so unlike the other Spite-listening show, idk if they deal in CWs, but I assume they do.
I've never listened to this one, because I plan to do it when it's 1. finished, 2. when I'm reading the books, but there's someone doing a Romance of the Three Kingdoms podcast (just that name) that's supposed to be good.
-EVERYONE- here should be listening to "LeVar Burton Reads". It's wonderful. He narrates short stories he hand picks. And you hear the most wonderful audible ads I've ever heard if you don't listen to it on whatever service he also shills for quite pleasantly.
Spite-Reading 2/2 "I don't Even Own a Television". I've been listening to this one a while. The early episodes are interesting, because he didn't have his permanent co-host yet, so he'd bring on various people as a guest, and I feel they just had a different feel. So unlike some podcasts, I feel the early episodes are still actually good, though different. But they're tough but fair to the books they read (iirc they broke the "no self-published material" rule once) and do cws. No ads.
And I just started "372 Pages we'll never get back". It's the Rifftrax people (iirc) reading Ready Player one. So I guess I had 3 spite reads, but forgive me, I started this like two days ago.
Any recommendations? I know I haven't hit every book podcast. And obviously I will listen to more stuff.
@lapis I don't listen to any book podcasts anymore. :( Used to have a few comic ones I loved but they ended. I'll check out your recommendations.
My current favorites:
Good Christian Fun - looks at Christian pop culture weirdness
Riverdale After Dark - 3 guys discuss every episode of Riverdale. Better than it sounds.
Late Night Whenever - basically a late night talk show but a podcast
Buffering the Vampire Slayer - a Buffy rewatch/discussion show with an original song in each episode

You might like Sunday School Dropouts (they're on break right now) they went through the entire bible like a bookclub, now they're gonna do other stuff.
There is also Sex Archie, a Riverdale podcast I haven't listened to because I haven't watched Riverdale yet, but it's by the History Honeys people, so I trust that it's good.
@lapis I started Sunday School Dropouts today on my lunch break. I do like it! Thanks for the recommendation.
@zephasaurus_hex Glad to hear!
I'm just going in Backwards alphabetical order, so don't think anything of it.
There's
"What should I read next" by Anne Bogel. She has people on that tell her books they love, hate, and are currently reading, and she gives them recommendations. The only beef I have with this podcast is how much Meyers-briggs comes up. She honestly gives good recommendations though.
