Can you recommend good #books for a 13th birthday present? My kid particularly likes fantasy and magic, devoured all 7 H---y P----r books in a month or so, but we live in a typically white, conservative English village, and so I'm particularly looking for stories by and about people outside that bubble.

🇩🇪 Das Kind kann auch #Deutsch lesen, also schlagen sie bitte #Bücher vor!

@y6nH 13 is a delicate age 🤔

If they devoured all the HP books, it's probably fine though.

Witchlight by Jessi Zabarsky*
Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker and Wendy Xu*
Gunnerkrigg Court by Thomas Siddell*
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (Not what you asked for, but they may like it)
Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu
The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill
The Book of Heroes by Miyuki Miyabe (Brave Story also works, but it's a little long in my opinion)

* - graphic novels
