@naga You're probably right to, but honestly things being quite quiet is hard for me! About the only time I don't listen to music is if I'm studying a language (or listening to a podcast)
@lapis We play a lot more music since #Dragonlet was born (that's how we learned he likes #Madonna). It's just not much of a thing for me.
Even in the car, it's usually an audiobook.
@lapis If I listen to favorite music while doing anything else, the music becomes the thing I"m doing and the other is just background noise. So I don't often listen to music while I read, and if I do it's always something new so I can't be distracted by suddenly having to sing along.
But if it's ever *too* quiet and I need the background noise, shouty punk stuff where no matter how many times I listen I still can't hear the words. Bikini Kill is a fave.
@lapis I don't usually listen to music while reading. They end up competing for my attention.
Right now with that #KazuoIshiguro book "The Buried Giant" #JohnCage goes nicely with it, and I suspect #BélaBartók would too, as would Le Sacre du printemps from #Stravinsky.
