Just started reading Howl's Moving Castle and OM! I loved the movie, the book is stupendous! Now I want my own copy (reading them, as on often do, on openlibrary. )
Finished The Chalk Man while at my daughter's house. Highly recommend this book. It is a fairly easy read, and the development i nicely laid out.

@Zeph I have tons of books but most didn't focus on what the challenges were. I think that next year I'm going to do it differently, just not certain how yet.
Does anyone else find that Book Challenges can also be counter-productive? That you find yourself not reading for pleasure but reading to fulfill a requirement? I've taken on several challenges, and perhaps the problem is that I planned none of them in advance. I think that is what I will do next year. Plan before the year begins, set the number and find challenges that are broad enough to encompass a great deal of possibilities. Who else is doing a #bookchallenge and which one (or ones)?
What types of poem do you relate to mostly? I read a book of poems, The Eye Like a Strange Balloon
by Mary Jo Bang, and frankly I didn't like them. I found them too abstract for my taste. I do like the abstract but oddly, when it comes to poetry I prefer sentences that are readily understood; allegory & metaphor need to be more direct. How do you relate to poetry?
