@Sailorplutoid @Einahpets @naga I second these suggestions, with the caveat (of course) that #sffshorts only be used if it is only going to be sf / fantasy shorts. otherwise the #shortstory or #storyclub seem nice...
or #shortfiction? I guess it depends what one wants to do. Read all over? Branch out?
@Einahpets Also question, regarding this. How easy to access would the pieces be. Not that I could necessarily always participate anyway (w/ school and all) but are we talking online mags or offline? and offline is it really popular magazines which my library had last I checked?
@lapis I'm thinking online magazines, for ease of access to whoever would like to join.
@lapis @Sailorplutoid @naga how do people feel about these two hashtags: #sffshorts #storyclub
My idea is that I'd use both for any of the toots I'd do, but folks can then branch out if short stories #storyclub in other genres (or novella length) are more their jam. Or if they don't want to do the club but just want to promote a sci-fi or fantasy short story with #sffshorts.
@lapis @Sailorplutoid @naga actually now I'm liking #shortfiction #storyclub plus whatever genre the short story is in hashtags.
Thanks guys -- I'll get the first pick out today. I'm thinking of following up with a few discussion questions throughout the week.
@Einahpets @lapis @Sailorplutoid I'd suggest picking just one of the two. If people start using them singly, then it will take two pinned columns to track all the conversation.
@naga @lapis @Sailorplutoid did I mention I was terrible at hashtags? I think it is worth mentioning again, lol.
My vote would be to continue with #storyclub at a minimum, because I plan on continuing to make obscure rules ala Fight Club. But that isn't a very good reason?
@Einahpets
I think that's a great reason!
@lapis @Sailorplutoid
@Einahpets How about #sffshorts?
